Geodetic Astronomy is an engrossing area of study and was a significant part of my undergrad studies in the late ’00s. This National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) pdf gives a good, visual overview of what Geodetic Astronomy entails.
Working in geospatial technologies, color discrimination plays a key role in the cartographic (mapmaking) aspect of my career. For published maps, understanding the differences in what people can perceive visually is important. For example, it is fairly common for men to have hues of color that they have difficulty distinguishing between, such as between blues and greens.
